Deep Tide TechFlow message: On July 21, South Korea’s *Seoul Economic Daily* reported that the South Korean Democratic Party urged the Financial Services Commission (FSC) to conduct key monitoring of single-stock leveraged exchange-traded funds, and to formulate additional measures if necessary. On that day, Democratic Party lawmakers belonging to the National Assembly’s Special Committee on Political Affairs held a party-government roundtable discussion with the Financial Services Commission at the National Assembly in Yeouido, Seoul, to hear work reports from FSC Chair Lee Eok-won and other officials.

After the meeting, Park Sang-hyuk, a ruling party staff member of the National Assembly’s Special Committee on Political Affairs and a Democratic Party lawmaker, told reporters, “The Financial Services Commission reported the relevant measures announced last Thursday. Lawmakers generally requested that the regulatory authorities further strengthen market monitoring and assess the situation; if necessary, they should study and introduce more supplementary measures.”
