Strategy cash reserves rise to $3.23 billion; pauses BTC purchases; global listed companies only bought $1.33 million worth of BTC last week
Odaily Planet Daily reports that, according to SoSoValue data, as of 8:00 a.m. ET on July 20, 2026, the total net weekly purchases of Bitcoin by publicly listed global companies last week (excluding mining companies) were $1.33 million, down 98.4% from the previous week.
According to official filings, Strategy did not buy any Bitcoin last week. Strategy’s dollar reserves increased by about $225 million to about $3.23 billion.
Japan-listed company Metaplanet did not buy any Bitcoin last week.
In addition, one other company bought Bitcoin last week. Asset manager Strive announced on July 20 that it spent $1.15 million to purchase 21 Bitcoin at a price of $63,221 each, bringing its total holdings to about 19,921 BTC.
ORANGE JUICE, a capital holding company, announced the completion of a $40 million financing round, with the funds raised used to buy Bitcoin.
As of the time of publication, the publicly listed global companies included in the tally (excluding mining companies) collectively hold a total of 1,139,656 BTC, up 0.002% from last week. The current market value is about $73.76 billion, accounting for 5.7% of Bitcoin’s circulating market capitalization.
