Deep Tide TechFlow news flash: On July 20, Coinbase co-founder and CEO Brian Armstrong posted a response addressing recent controversies over the changes to his profile picture and alleged insufficient support for the Base community. He stated clearly that his personal Twitter account is only used to share content related to his personal interests, and does not constitute any investment advice or project endorsement. He also reminded users not to treat the posts on his account as trading signals.

Regarding support for the Base ecosystem, Armstrong said that due to compliance and regulatory reasons, Coinbase is unable to list certain tokens, and the team will not proactively endorse specific projects. Currently, Base’s support initiatives include: the offline Base Batches incubation program, ecosystem funds and investments from Coinbase Ventures, and integrating high-quality Base DeFi protocols into Coinbase products.
