At 3 a.m., a fan sent me a screenshot.
His voice was trembling as he spoke:
“Bro, I lost 30K USDT. Now my account only has 2,000 USDT left. Should I quit the scene?”
I told him:
It’s not that you’re not suited for trading—it’s that you made your trading too complicated.
Staring at the charts for hours every day, reading a stack of indicators—yet the direction only gets more and more messy. The more trades you make, the faster the losses come.
I’ve taught a lot of people. The ones who make the fastest real progress are often not the ones who study the most, but the ones who can execute the rules all the way through.
Later, I had him try a set of “lazy trader’s method”:
Start with 2,000 USDT, and build slowly on discipline.
First, only look at two timeframes.
Use the daily chart to set direction, and the 4-hour chart to find opportunities.
If the two timeframes don’t align, don’t trade.
Many unnecessary trades are filtered out this way.
Second, only trade key levels.
Don’t guess in advance if price hasn’t reached support and resistance zones.
If the opportunity doesn’t show up, be patient and wait.
Being in cash is also part of trading.
Third, always leave room in position sizing.
Each time, only use one-fifth of your position size—never go all-in to赌 the direction.
If the market goes wrong, you still have funds to adjust.
Fourth, control leverage.
It’s fine to make profits more slowly. The priority is making sure you can stay in the market.
Living long beats one-time making a fortune.
Fifth, set stop-losses in advance.
A stop-loss isn’t admitting defeat—it’s giving yourself a chance to start over again.
Later, he kept executing for 9 days. His account grew from 2,000 USDT to 19k USDT.
But what truly changed him wasn’t this round of market—it was that he finally learned how to control himself.
The simpler the trading, the easier it is to stick with.
Those who can stay in the market long-term never rely on luck, but on executing correctly again and again.
