Goldman Sachs July Politburo meeting preview: reinforce the easing tone, focus on high technology

Golden Finance reported that on July 20, Goldman Sachs released a report, expecting that the Political Bureau meeting to be held in late July in China will set the macro policy stance for the second half of the year. Given weak GDP performance in the second quarter, it is expected that the leadership will strengthen expectations for easing and accelerate the implementation of the already planned demand-side measures, including new policy-oriented financial instruments worth 8000 billion yuan (RMB), which are estimated to boost GDP by 0.5 percentage points. Meanwhile, in the context of US-China AI competition, policy will continue to maintain a strategic focus on high-tech development.
