South Korea’s stock market hits a trading halt (circuit breaker) after falling

Gold Finance reported that on July 20, a KOSPI index sidecar mechanism was launched by a South Korean exchange, and automated trading was paused for five minutes. For individual stocks, the South Korean KOSPI index fell again by more than 4%, with both SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics down 4.4%.
