In investing and trading, the most taboo thing is discussing with people.
Why?
Because discussion doesn’t add any “probability” at all.
It only strengthens the biases in your mind. If there’s no entropy reduction, then discussion isn’t necessary either.
Some people say discussion increases perspectives. I admit that people can do that with each other— but it’s not required. Why?
If you’re proficient in AI, the perspective from which AI takes inputs can be tens of times the information dimensions of human beings, and that’s already comprehensive.
You get a few ordinary “smart guys” together to discuss for half a day and you still can’t come up with a “Zhuge Liang,” while an AI model can produce angles that a “Zhuge Liang” couldn’t think of.
Second, online discussion, with all the noise, has widely differing viewpoints and stances. And since “people” are also quite shrewd, viewpoints naturally shift to stances and then to personal attacks—continuously deviating from information entropy reduction and continuously increasing entropy. That’s why retail participants get pulled into this debate: they grow nothing and don’t receive truly valuable information.
So in the Chinese crypto圈, you can always see two or several peasants bickering. And their level is nothing more than “noise” and low-dimensional perspectives stemming from human limitations—some dead-on-arrival water-fight classification based on subjective heuristics that split people into long/short camps. It will never be able to rise to a higher angle to invest and trade.
Once a person gets used to this kind of peasant mode, the results of their investing are basically already doomed.
This is the modern market dominated by information quality, speed, management scale, and advanced algorithms.
Discussing in this way is just like primitive people discussing the “metaphor of the market gods” inside a cave.
