7.20 Monday midday market analysis
The midday tape carries a cautious tone; the market is repeatedly probing between news and sentiment.
Overseas developments are driving risk appetite, and the moves by institutional funds signal direction more clearly than retail sentiment. Today’s trend is clearly leaning toward the “institutional track”—it’s not being pushed up by hot narrative, but led by the rhythm of large capital.
Start by setting the coordinate with mainstream coins: will Bitcoin continue to act as a safe haven, or will it re-emerge as a key anchor for bullish signals?
The easiest thing to get misled by is assuming that “institutional entry automatically means sustained upside.” In fact, what matters is whether there is solid follow-through after volume expands, not just who’s louder.
At present, BTC is trading sideways around $64,800, ETH is fluctuating around $1,880, and SOL is hovering near $76. Price itself hasn’t given a clear direction, but the structure lacks the momentum for a strong breakout.
BTC trading advice: open a short near 65,000 and keep room to add; add if it breaks above 66,000; stop loss 66,500; take profit 64,200–63,500
ETH trading advice: short near 1,890 and keep room to add; add at 1,930; stop loss 1,980; take profit 1,865–1,820
