Japan’s inflation will be released on Friday, and USD/JPY this week may continue trading near the year’s high.

Golden Finance reported that on July 20, three members of the Global Economics and Markets Research team at Australia’s Commonwealth Bank (CBA), in a research report, said that the USD/JPY pair this week may continue to stay near its intra-year high of 162.84. Japan will release inflation data this Friday, and the market’s focus is on that figure. If core inflation comes in weaker than expected, it could affect market expectations for when the Bank of Japan will next raise interest rates, which may create resistance for USD/JPY to rise to its intra-year high.
