The most exhausting scams in crypto: first give you sweetness, then magnify your greed

Newcomers who just entered the market are mostly cautious. Make small bets to test the waters—take profits when you’re up, and if you lose, leave decisively. But once you taste the feeling of a big win, your mindset starts to change.
What used to be “earning a few hundred a day is enough,” later becomes “it’s too slow”; what used to be “take profit quickly,” becomes “always thinking about holding on a bit longer”; what used to be “if you lose, leave right away,” becomes “adding positions with the goal of turning the loss into profit.” This shift can happen within just a few weeks—you might not even notice it yourself.
Too many people originally wanted to make some side income from crypto, but ended up getting locked in and unable to break free. Eating meals while watching the K-line chart, sleeping while thinking about placing orders, and waking up in the middle of the night—the first thing you do is reach for your phone to check the market. When there’s a big pump, you think it’s about to fly; when there’s a sudden dump, you panic and cut losses; when it trades sideways and consolidates, you still can’t resist wanting to open a position. You know in your heart you’re already out of control, but you just can’t stop.
Many people think they lose money because they didn’t read the market correctly. But the most fundamental reason is the lack of self-control to proactively stop. When I teach people, the first thing I never focus on is how to enter—it’s how to stabilize your pace. If the market is unclear, stay in cash and wait. When it hits your stop-loss, exit. If you have gains, take profit in batches. If you keep losing consecutively, stop immediately, step back, and rest.
Everyone understands the logic, but the people who can truly do it will have completely different results in their accounts.
If you’re already starting to lose control—losing and rushing to get even, winning and wanting to add positions for “one more bet”—stop first and adjust your state. The market is always there, but your principal and your mindset only get one chance. Only those who can control their hands deserve to wait for the real opportunity that belongs to them.

Actually, it’s not only in the crypto market—this is how any speculative market works. Greed and fear in human nature are hard to overcome. I recommend that beginners first set trading discipline and follow it strictly, otherwise they will inevitably get harvested.

So painful—it’s exactly how I feel right now. I eat while watching the charts, dream about price moves when I sleep, and wake up in the middle of the night to check my phone. I know I should stop, but I just can’t control myself. The big shots are right—first control your hands, and then you can wait for the opportunity.

That’s exactly right—I got caught in it step by step just like that.

At first, I really made a small profit and took off quickly. Later, once I tasted the sweetness, I kept wanting to get more. In the end, a pullback wiped out all the gains. Now I’ve learned to take profit in batches and I don’t get greedy anymore.
