Mars Finance reported that the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology has officially launched the “AISHPerf large model training and inference engineering practice performance benchmark research” project. Next, it will continue to advance the benchmark research, focusing on three areas: First, improve the indicator system. Establish unified performance indicator definitions, measurement methods, and reporting standards, clarify the applicable scenarios for each indicator and the calculation basis, and eliminate cross-comparison deviations caused by inconsistent definitions. Second, gather industry data. Broadly solicit real-world performance data from model training providers, chip manufacturers, and compute infrastructure builders, form a de-identified industry benchmark reference range, and update it dynamically on a regular basis, providing a benchmark basis for all parties in the industry. Third, promote engineering practice. Review mature industry experience in areas such as communication optimization, GPU memory (VRAM) management, and parallel strategy scheduling, develop reusable optimization path recommendations, and help compute infrastructure builders make scientific selections and model training providers fine-tune models accurately.
