According to Beating monitoring by Dongcha, Kimi further addressed the controversy over package adjustments within the user base. Existing users can continue using the service and will be automatically renewed; going forward, even if they previously manually canceled auto-renewal, they will be able to resubscribe to the old packages. The old packages will also support internal upgrades—for example, users on the 199 yuan tier can upgrade to the 699 yuan tier. However, the feature to restore auto-renewal and the old-package upgrade functionality are still under development, so it can’t be operated directly for now. Sales of the new packages remain paused. Kimi acknowledged that its prior explanations were unclear and that the product interface is also not well designed, and said it will readjust the plan based on user feedback. Due to computing power constraints, the specific launch time has not yet been determined.
