$ESPORTS In the past 24 hours, it crashed 47.57%. At a price of 0.0232, it was cut in half directly from 0.0524, with trading volume of 470 million yuan—this is absolutely not a normal pullback. After the Fed minutes and non-farm payroll data hit at the same time, money is fleeing. I’ve been watching the chart for five years—behind this kind of move is a macro logic that’s killing the market.
First, look at the data: last Friday, US non-farm payrolls added 277 thousand, far above expectations of 200 thousand. The wage figure, with a month-over-month change of 0.4%, also blew up, directly shattering the market’s hopes for a rate cut in June. Then on Wednesday, the Fed minutes came out—almost all officials mentioned “sticky inflation,” and even someone hinted that further rate hikes are not ruled out. With these two data sets stacking up, US equities saw the S&P 500 drop 2.3% in three days: tech led the decline, the Nasdaq fell 3.1%. Risk assets completely collapsed. Bitcoin plunged from 71 thousand to 65 thousand, and high-volatility names like $ESPORTS were outright washed clean.
Quantify it: the 24h correlation between $ESPORTS and Bitcoin is 0.72, and the correlation with S&P 500 futures is 0.68—meaning when US stocks fall, it drops even harder. Commodities were worse. Gold dumped from 2400 to 2320, and crude oil fell 4%; all the money ran to the dollar. Now the US Dollar Index has surged to 105.8. As BTC/ETH are falling, small-cap tokens like $ESPORTS are just kindling in the liquidity vortex.
Don’t expect a short-term rebound. After being hit twice by the non-farm payrolls and the minutes, market expectations have shifted from a “soft landing” to “stagflation” and even a “hard landing.” My advice: if you haven’t exited at 0.0232 yet, then you must reduce your position when it bounces back to 0.028–0.03—that level is the previous support turned into resistance. Set your stop-loss at 0.0195; if it breaks, cut. Keep position sizing within 5%. Don’t chase a bottom—wait for this week’s CPI to land. If CPI again comes in above expectations, if 0.02 can’t hold, it will look down to 0.015.
How many calls did I make in the group? On the day $PEPE crashed last month, I told my friend to add at 0.000008—later it doubled. This time, I think $ESPORTS still needs to churn for at least three trading days. Don’t rush to catch a falling knife. Don’t just watch the price action—watch tonight’s 10-year US Treasury yield curve and tomorrow night’s ISM services PMI. Those are the real killers.
