Spain are officially the 2026 FIFA World Cup champions after beating Argentina 1-0 in extra time.


Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in the 106th minute, giving Spain their second World Cup title.
Final prize money:
Spain: Champions - $50 million
Argentina: Runners-up - $33 million
England: Third place - $29 million
France: Fourth place - $27 million
England secured third place after beating France 6-4 in a crazy 10-goal match.
The remaining prize money was distributed based on how far each country progressed:
Morocco, Belgium, Norway and Switzerland: $19 million each for reaching the quarterfinals.
Canada, Paraguay, Brazil, Mexico, Portugal, USA, Egypt and Colombia: $15 million each for reaching the Round of 16.
Teams eliminated in the Round of 32 received $11 million each, while countries eliminated in the group stage received $9 million each.
A total of $655 million was distributed among the 48 participating countries.
