That earlier spike up made me feel something was off with this order book. It’s not about how much it pumps—what matters is whether people will step in after it.

$TRUMP When it was repeatedly “scraping” around the high levels, it looked like there might still be a rebound on the surface, but in reality every wave got weaker and weaker. A lot of people were hesitating whether to chase. What I was paying attention to then was the trading reaction near the suppression level. After the price came close to 2.056, it didn’t manage to print a steady buy wall—instead, the moment it touched, it softened. That’s already not right.

Holding the short until now, the outcome at 1.639 was very straightforward, and the +1442.57% gain also means the downside room from that move was fully captured. In plain terms, the rhythm changed: you had to stubbornly hold on before, but once it broke, it accelerated. After the volatility range opened up, the position became meaningful.

Now I won’t recklessly add just because profit is realized, and I won’t keep chasing a short just because it dumped fast. If you have a position, you can take profit in batches, and then use the protection level to hold the remaining part. If you’re not in the trade, don’t rush—missed entries shouldn’t be chased. Wait for a more comfortable level to move.
