AI Is Reshaping the Economy—But Will the Federal Reserve Call It Inflation?
Artificial intelligence is no longer just transforming technology; it is rapidly becoming one of the most important forces influencing the global economy. As hundreds of billions of dollars flow into AI infrastructure, the debate has shifted from innovation to inflation. To be honest, the Federal Reserve is facing a dilemma right now: on one side, AI is burning money and pushing up inflation; on the other, there’s possible deflation in the future. Warsh’s distinction theory sounds beautiful in theory, but in actual implementation, how do you judge whether it will persist? By the time the data comes out, it may already be too late. What the market fears most is uncertainty, so short-term volatility is unavoidable.
