Odaily Planet Daily reports that Kimi said in a post on X that the market response after the launch of K3 has far exceeded expectations. Within the past 48 hours, user demand has already approached the upper limit of the existing GPU compute capacity. To ensure the usage experience of existing subscribers, it has temporarily paused opening new subscription services. Existing subscribed users will not be affected. The company is expanding compute capacity as quickly as possible and will restore new users’ subscription eligibility in batches in the future.

In addition, the future membership system will be split into two categories of more targeted products, including “Kimi Membership” for Kimi web, App, and office scenarios, and “Kimi Code Membership,” which focuses on programming workflows. This is intended to enable more precise compute allocation and improve service stability.
