Strategy holds 843,800 BTC, and cash reserves have increased to $3 billion

Odaily Planet Daily news: Strategy Inc. Executive Chairman Michael Saylor posted on X on July 19 a chart showing the company’s historical and current Bitcoin purchases and holdings, captioned “What’s next?”, but did not disclose any new trades, funding sources, or plans to increase its holdings. The charts show the company holds 843,775 BTC, about 4.02% of Bitcoin’s fixed supply.

Based on a market price of $64,312, the value of this holding is approximately $54.28 billion; the cumulative purchase cost is about $63.83 billion, with an average purchase price of $75,653. Strategy has not bought any more Bitcoin since June 22; between July 6 and July 12, its holdings remained unchanged.

As of the week ending July 12, Strategy sold 4,818,781 shares of MSTR common stock, generating net proceeds of $467 million, of which $450 million was used to increase its dollar reserves, bringing its cash reserves to $3 billion. Company data shows the reserve can cover 20.4 months of its annual preferred stock dividend obligations totaling $1.76B, and is used to support interest payment on outstanding debt.

Strategy previously sold 32 BTC between May 26 and May 31, earning approximately $2.5 million; on July 5, it sold another 3,588 BTC, earning approximately $216 million. Michael Saylor said the related funds were used to pay quarterly and monthly dividends.
