Just now, a phone pop-up came up with the message “The cross-chain bridge has completed its upgrade, and everything is safe,” and I actually laughed out loud. I usually treat this kind of notification as a scam warning—multisig signing authority is spread across several addresses, and the oracle’s price feed is delayed by a few minutes. That so-called “wait for confirmation” is really just a bet on whether you’ll have time to run. Lately, rumors in the group have been repeatedly circulating about stablecoin regulation and depegging. A lot of people forward the messages while shouting “panic,” but then, when they turn around, they go right after the new cross-chain funds. As for me, I only trust physical buttons. Before signing, I have to turn over and check all on-chain data thoroughly—otherwise, I’d rather let the hardware wallet keep collecting dust.
