Just got a new order and it ate slippage again—pretty frustrating. I thought the depth was enough, but when I moved a bit faster on the execution, it immediately took out the two-tier price difference, and my profit got thinned right away. Honestly, at times like this, you really stop caring about funding rates or OI being anything meaningful—it’s all about whether you can get your order filled without getting chopped.

Anyway, ever since that recent tax-related incident in some place, everyone’s been pretty sensitive about their expectations for deposits and withdrawals, and as a knock-on effect the order book has thinned out a lot too. Liquidity gets pulled and it shows instantly. Forget it—consider it tuition. Next time I still have to wait until the order book is firmly stacked before I act, and stop always thinking about grabbing those extra fractions of a second.
