Recently, I’ve been watching those L2s compare TPS with subsidies, and the comment wars are almost as lively as the market itself… It’s honestly pretty magical. Everyone keeps bragging about how thriving their ecosystems are, and then you turn around and—boom—there are stacks of on-chain security incidents: phishing sites, fake signatures, mnemonic phrase leaks, one batch after another. Put plainly: no matter how fast you run, if someone empties your wallet, what’s the point of saving those gas fees?

As for me, I’ll take a breather of three seconds before I do anything on-chain now. If I see “free to claim an Airdrop” or “unlimited approve,” I immediately get a reflexive urge to vomit. Don’t say I’m being harsh—if you’d so much as taken a closer look at those “protocol authorization” pop-ups, you wouldn’t end up having your whole bottom stolen by people. Don’t screenshot your mnemonic phrase or store it in cloud drives. If you can, delete signature approvals—don’t wait until something goes wrong and then cry. At that point, all I’d say is: why didn’t you do this earlier?
