Option buyers always feel like they’re about to get rich in the next second, while the sellers quietly collect rent. Time value—plainly speaking—is the buyer paying the seller, watching option prices decay every day, like seeing your wallet leak air. I’m the kind of impulsive player who used to think about making a bet, but time value ended up crushing me. Now I’ve learned my lesson: every now and then I earn a bit of “mosquito-leg” money as the seller. Even if I’m slightly down, at least it’s logically coherent. Lately I’ve been watching the L2s compare TPS and subsidies—fighting with words at full blast, making my eyes dizzy. Forget it—I’m going to work.
