I almost made another impulse trade. I checked the funding rate and it’s still negative, the OI hasn’t dropped, but the liquidation hotspots are piling up in one direction. After cooling down and thinking it through, on-chain data is really uncanny—its ordering and finality are never as straightforward as they look. You might be staring at something marked “confirmed,” but it could just be a single node that decides what counts. Lately I’ve seen people complaining that the data lags or can even mislead, and I really relate to that. Now I’m forcing myself to first check whether the order of the last three blocks has changed, then wait two minutes to see if the funding rate has been manipulated. In plain terms, the data you get is probability, not truth. For those impulsive seconds, first close the interface, take a sip of water, and wait for your head to come back.
