Why do I get an itch to trade? Plain and simple: when I see other people making arbitrage profits on-chain, I get anxious and feel like, “If they’re earning and I’m not, then I’m losing.” So I rush in—and a sandwich attack clamps me in like a meat patty. The fees are even higher than the profit. Looking back, those so-called opportunities were really traps engineered by the project team and MEV bots; retail users are just the ones paying their fees. Lately the AI Agent narrative has been getting loud, and automated trading strategies are everywhere, but there are plenty of security holes too. I’ll stick to watching the funding rate, keep my position small, and only stay disciplined—avoiding the urge to trade is the real move.
