To put it plainly, whether you go all-in or run grids/DCA comes down to whether you want to sleep well. I’m a night-shift security guard, so I’ve gotten used to staring at things; sometimes I even get the itch to go all-in. But once my position is even a little larger, I end up not sleeping—if I lose money, I can’t sleep either. Grids may be slow, but the upside is peace of mind; when the market is swinging and chopping, you can still catch a few moves. Lately, the “hair-collecting” crowd has gotten so cutthroat they’re showing up like they’re clocking in for work. The points-based setup has people running around frazzled all the time—at least grids don’t require you to watch every day. Anyway, I’m a conservative type now: keep some ammunition, and the rest just throw into the grid. Newbies, don’t learn from me—figure it out yourself, and you’ll know only after trying.
