A friend just told me that his wallet got drained. It’s clearly one of those phishing sites where you “authorize” without realizing it. The celebrity meme site, the “airdrop claiming” site—everything is designed to look ridiculously real. Sigh, I’ve warned him so many times: don’t trust those “official-looking links” that pop up out of nowhere. He told me, “When I tapped it, my hand slipped a bit.” And I was thinking—if you slip once, a few thousand U are gone.

Anyway, I’ve made up my mind. I don’t really connect my wallet to dApps for my larger positions anymore. If I truly need to interact, I’ll open a separate small account, or use a cold wallet to sign. Sometimes I see the Meme move up hard and I feel tempted, but then I think about the tuition fees from the past few years—and forget it. Better to be honest and stick to placing orders and managing my private keys properly.

Depth, slippage, execution quality—those are technical things, but wallet security is the bottom line. Don’t wait until your wallet gets drained to regret it. That feeling is really depressing. I hope after you read this, you can check the contracts you’ve authorized—if anything looks suspicious, revoke it. That’s it for now. Safety first; everything else is just smoke.
