Mainnet fees are really expensive, but L2 can sometimes be just as hard to deal with—the transfer experience feels like opening a blind box. For my usual small transactions, I just use Arbitrum or Optimism; waiting a few minutes doesn’t bother me. The money I save on gas is enough for a delivery meal. But when it comes to handling large amounts or doing DeFi interactions, I still switch back to the mainnet for peace of mind.

Honestly, the whole social mining and fan-token setup looks exciting, but it always feels like a bit too much effort—attention is valuable, but turning it into mining output just feels off somehow. It’s like throwing traffic straight into a wok to stir-fry; whether it actually gets cooked through is hard to say. In any case, for me it’s just a matter of the situation—go with whichever is cheaper, and don’t lock yourself into a single chain just to save on gas.
