But in reality, that pile of code might not have been touched for three months, and the audit report has high-severity vulnerabilities marked as “pending repair.” Can you believe it? Multi-sig upgrades are even more confusing—someone says “5/7 multi-sig is secure,” but two of the signing addresses are from the same person’s wallet. Can you believe that too? Anyway, I only trust on-chain data right now: stablecoin flow and actual usage/call volume. For the rest of the flashy introductions, I’m putting a question mark first.

Recently, that public chain upgrade caused downtime, and in the chat people have been speculating whether ecosystem projects will collectively “move.” I figure it’s better to check whether those project teams have already deployed their contracts to other chains in advance—that’s what I call a real signal.
