To be honest, modular blockchains have been hyped for more than half a year. Someone like me who stays all day watching DAO governance proposals still hasn’t felt any fundamental change for ordinary users. How the underlying layers are broken up, who gets swapped in the DA layer—at the end, in the terminal wallet it’s still the same few transfers and interactions. Slippage still gets taken, and gas still gets burned.

But the wave of AI Agents doing automatic trading recently—lots of people are touting “on-chain intelligence.” I looked at the security audit reports in the proposals, and the vulnerabilities are still the same old ones. In plain terms, the narrative can be flashy, but when real money and real token interactions happen, security details matter far more than any modular breakdown.

Anyway, when I vote now, I only care whether there are incentives or not and whether the execution team is reliable. All that other flowery talk can wait.
