I’ve been seeing the funding rate get extremely wild recently. Everyone in the group is guessing whether it’s going to reverse or if it’ll keep squeezing more bubble. As for me, I don’t have time to overthink—I went back and flipped through my own first-half trading records and ended up with a headache. 😅

Crypto taxes fear not losing money the most—it’s messy records. You never know which transaction is a DeFi mining reward, which one is slippage from an on-chain swap, and which one is “cost” that gas fees have been “printed out” as. I had to make up my taxes at the end of last year and I was seriously questioning life, because the on-chain records were all garbled; manually organizing everything took three days.

So I’ve formed a habit now: for every trade, I screenshot it on the spot, save the tx hash, and write a simple note (for example, “xx pool mining reward” or “yyprotocol swap”). It’s a hassle, but it’s still better than dealing with a pile of “wallet address + timestamp” come year-end.

What I fear most isn’t being slow—it’s being messy. When it gets messy, backpaying taxes can really make you doubt life.
