AI Agents have been all the rage recently—auto-trading and on-chain interactions are being hyped to the heavens, as if all you have to do is lie back to make money. But honestly, as an old “bagholder,” I still prefer to move slower: first check whether the contract permissions have any backdoors, whether the oracle pricing is centralized, and if the Agent suddenly goes off the rails and its slippage runs wild, who’s going to take responsibility? I’ve seen too many cases where the “high APY” was really just a contingency plan for a crash. Even people who rush in and out fast can’t outrun a contract lock-up. Sometimes when I get itchy, I’ll try a small test—but I also intentionally move half a beat slower, waiting for others to step into the trap first. No matter how loud the narrative is, security still requires you to dig into the details yourself. Slowing down is what helps you live longer.
