Lately, “farming points” has started to feel more and more like work—really. Task platforms keep coming one after another, scoring systems keep rolling out one after another, and the witch (Sybil) detection is set up almost like KYC. Check-in, complete tasks, farm scores, and pass the anti-witch detection—every step feels like you’re following a procedure. Sometimes I get halfway through, and without thinking I hit the pause button to first look at the node distribution and check the consensus details. It’s supposed to be an airdrop, but it somehow feels like doing a technical post-mortem.

Recently, plenty of people have been complaining that the on-chain data tools and tagging systems are lagging, or that they’re easy to mislead. Honestly, I’ve run into it a few times too. After finishing the tasks, I go check the scores and find that the data doesn’t match reality—my mindset just completely broke.

The part I don’t regret is this: every time I see a new project, I still hit pause first, go through the process, and then decide.
