I just picked up my phone and saw a push notification saying gas spiked into the dozens. Sure enough, the group chat erupted. “Which shitty coin is rug-pulling this time?” I opened the mempool and took a look… wow—there were almost a hundred transactions queued up. My small order was stuck somewhere in the middle, like competing for train tickets during Spring Festival rush. I tapped a pending one, waited and waited… and it just wouldn’t make it into a block. The friend’s green checkmark? That’s the long exhale of “I’ve given up waiting.”

People in the group are also forwarding screenshots, saying there’s something shady with which stablecoin reserves audit, or rumors of a de-peg. Anyway, at a time like this, panic is fuel—the volume of transactions in the mempool keeps climbing fast. I just closed the pop-up and decided to wait for the next round when the slippage is lower.
To put it bluntly, the feeling of being stuck in the mempool is like binge-watching late at night—you think it’s almost over, and then the progress bar freezes at 99%. For now, that’s it. I’ll check again later.
