I’ve been debating whether to switch to a hardware wallet lately, but when I think about my small amount of assets, it feels like multi-sig and social recovery might be overkill. Honestly, I’m pretty annoyed by those people who just recommend Ledger or Trezor all the time, as if not using a cold wallet means you’re a bag holder. But look at how privacy coins and mixers people are fighting now—the compliance boundaries are getting more and more blurry. I actually feel that multi-sig might be better suited for a lone wolf like me who “doesn’t want to be watched.” As for governance proposals and voting, I only care about incentives and execution. The same goes for security—I’d rather carry the responsibility myself. Social recovery, though, has a high threshold. If something really goes wrong, who can you trust? Forget it—I’ll just use a paper wallet for now and deal with it. I’ll bring it up again if I ever get truly scammed.
