Just got a notification on my phone. I thought RWA had come out with some new pool again—like U.S. Treasury yields were about to start “fighting it out” with on-chain wealth management products. I hurried to switch over and take a look—well, would you believe it, Subgraph was stuck in a pending state again. The RPC rate limit immediately threw me a 429. Okay, guess I got excited for nothing; I didn’t even manage to take a screenshot before it disappeared again.

Honestly, lately I’ve been watching on-chain funds move around, and sometimes the data simply won’t refresh no matter what, so I started to wonder if I was just seeing things because I’d had too much coffee. But really, it’s those indexer nodes getting overwhelmed, or the RPC quietly throttling you and not letting you check too often. The more you’re in a rush, the slower it gets—like that last second before a perpetual liquidation, where it stalls and makes you question your life.

Anyway, it’s pretty helpless, but we’re used to it. Even a small loss still needs logic, right? If the data hangs, just treat it as forcing yourself to stay calm for a few seconds. But then again, comparing U.S. Treasury yields with on-chain yield products side by side is definitely pretty interesting—just don’t rush to charge in yet; I’ll decide after I finish this cup of coffee.
