When liquidity dries up, it really feels like even breathing slows by half a beat. Watching the order book with no movement at all makes me feel oddly panicky—not because I’m afraid of falling, but because I’m afraid that when I want to act, I’ll already be unable to. A few days ago, I saw all that hype around memes and celebrity call-ins. The veteran players kept telling newcomers not to grab the last baton. I even thought that made sense at the time—turns out I couldn’t resist either, and I tried to catch the bottom. Looking back, it’s pretty ridiculous: once liquidity is pulled dry, forget about a bottom—you can’t even see a splash. Right now, I’m going to clear out my positions first. Stay alive first, then deal with the rest. Anyway, there are plenty of opportunities—there’s only one life.
