The recent hype around sharded parallel processing has gotten me a bit carried away. I just finished reading a few project whitepapers, and then I came across news about a cross-chain bridge being hacked and funds being stolen. Honestly, it’s exciting, but if asset security hasn’t been addressed and the exit route isn’t clear, then no matter how fast the chain is, it still ends up being a VIP channel for hackers. I wrote it down in my notes as just one sentence: first figure out how you’re going to get out, then think about how you’ll make the move.
