Just had a notification pop up on my phone. I thought it was a market alert, but it turned out to be an app update reminder—gave me quite a scare. Now when I’m watching the charts, it’s basically become reflex: the moment a red dot appears, I feel like my position is about to blow.
Honestly, when you can’t hold spot, and you get blown up on leveraged contracts—in the end it’s because your position size doesn’t match your mindset. Here’s my own plain-language version: **“Don’t let a single trade decide whether you can sleep well tonight.”** The moment you click in, if your heartbeat starts speeding up and your hands start shaking, then your position is probably already too big.
The macro picture has also been pretty tangled lately: rate-cut expectations and the US dollar index are both rising, and risk assets follow along and start dancing—who can really make sense of that? Anyway, I’m not going to guess the direction. I’ll just manage the little bit of exposure I have, set a stop-loss like drawing a boundary line—stay within the lines and you won’t get hurt.
That’s it for now—I’ll think it over after tonight’s review.
