Lately I’ve seen everyone talking about that public chain upgrade. On-chain it’s gotten lively again, and every group is guessing whether ecosystem projects will migrate. Personally, I think no matter how this narrative is packaged, in the end it comes back to one old question: when are you planning to leave?
I looked back at past cases of “narrative hype,” like how, in a certain year, a Meme went from zero to the ceiling and then down to the floor—looking back, it’s actually quite interesting. People are saying “you missed it,” but the ones who really get trapped are often those who think, “I can still take a little more.”
My own approach is pretty straightforward: no matter how good the story sounds, set a bottom line you can accept from the start—whether it’s price or time. When it hits, you go. Don’t wait for “the next high point,” because the high point is always in other people’s mouths, not in your account. Anyway, this kind of excitement is all about playing with your heartbeat—but if you keep holding it too long, things can go wrong.
That’s it for now. I don’t know if I’m right or not, but this is how I’ve made it this far.
