Lately I’ve been dealing with tax filing, and it’s really giving me a headache. In the past, my transaction records were just quick screenshots, tossed into folders, and then at year-end I’d pull out a pile of blurry files I couldn’t even clearly tell which transaction was which. Now I’ve learned my lesson: I use Excel to build a table with columns for date, chain, transaction hash, amount, and notes. Every time I finish a trade, I fill in a row right away—don’t procrastinate, or you’ll forget by the next day. As for on-chain tools and tagging systems—lately I’ve seen people say the data is delayed or misleading, but I’m not really convinced. Still, even if the tagging system is accurate, it doesn’t help if someone intentionally changes the on-chain data to fool people. Better to be more careful myself. Anyway, it’s all about process control: set up a template first. Start organizing today, and don’t wait until the end of December to lose your mind.
