Just saw another new L1/L2 over there handing out incentives to pump TVL—brothers, mining while yelling “mine, buy, sell,” absolutely hilarious. Anyway, I wouldn’t dare to casually cross over like that. As for cross-chain bridges—plain and simple, it’s a trust chain. Multi-sig with a bunch of keys, oracles feeding the price, and those few minutes of “waiting for confirmation”—if any part of it goes wrong, it can end up so extreme you wouldn’t recognize your own mom.

Every time I see someone rush into a brand-new bridge on autopilot, those “waiting for confirmation” minutes feel like waiting for food delivery: the map shows you’re already at the building, but halfway there someone swoops in and cuts you off. Multi-sig is supposed to let a group hold the keys—yet if one person drops a key, it’s all over. And oracles—forget it, feed the wrong price and it’s GG straight away.

In any case, I’d rather grind it out slowly on the main chain than get liquidated by a cross-chain bridge in the middle of the night. That’s it for now.
