Hahaha I just saw that whale address transfer a few thousand ETH to a new wallet, and the comment section is already popping champagne saying they want to follow the trade. To be honest, AI Agents really can automatically execute on-chain interactions now—for example, helping you snatch liquidity in a pool at opening, automatically reinvesting into a staking contract, or even switching positions based on the funding rate. But these things, put simply, are like an automatic bread toaster. You put the bread slice in and it can toast it, but if the bread gets soggy, the machine jams, or it suddenly trips a breaker, it won’t fix itself.
I think what truly needs a human to cover is those “sudden incident judgments.” For example, if an on-chain large transfer gets interpreted as smart money, an AI might see the address and blindly follow, but a person needs to check whether it’s an exchange cold-wallet anomaly, or whether old hands are rotating positions right before an airdrop farm. That kind of context is hard for machines to fully understand. Risk control also needs a human to give the final approval. For instance, after a certain protocol has had a security incident, an AI might still run according to historical parameters, but humans know to withdraw everything first.
Anyway, I’m optimistic. AI can save people the time spent staring at charts, but someone still has to be responsible for the “last mile” of decision-making. Like toasting bread—the heat level and whether it’s right has to be judged by your nose smelling for the right aroma. That’s it for now—I’ll keep researching my funding rates.
