Just checked that unlock calendar, and honestly it makes my stomach turn a little.
Recently, interest rates tightened, and risk appetite can flip just like that. My positions have already been cut back quite a bit.
It’s not that I’m scared of a drop—I’m scared of the kind of situation where “everyone thinks it’s going to drop,” so people run early, and then it ends up actually getting smashed for real.
I figure that once the batch of tokens from the staking unlocks comes out, there will definitely be short-term pressure on liquidity. But in the long run, what matters more is whether the price feeding source is stable.
Last year, a certain project’s oracle failed first, and then a liquidation domino effect followed—there was no real relation to interest rates.
Just now, I almost wanted to uninstall a certain app—out of sight, out of mind. But then I thought better of it; at least I’ll keep watching the flow of funds, so I don’t wait until something really goes wrong to react.
Forget it—I’m not deleting it. I’ll leave it like this for now.
