I’m just an ordinary person who likes to dig into on-chain data. Recently, I’ve seen many people say, “This transfer is too coincidental—surely the whales are up to something.” Actually, for most so-called “coincidental transfers,” if you break down the path, the logic behind it is pretty clear—for example, exchanges consolidating funds into cold wallets, market makers rebalancing their positions, or even just a certain address testing gas fees. If you trace it along the timeline, you’ll often find it’s related to interactions with a particular protocol or the settlement line for a large loan—not some mysterious signal. I also understand the sell-pressure anxiety people feel when unlock dates keep getting mentioned, but don’t immediately assume the worst just because there’s a big transfer—check the price-feed source and update frequency first; it might only be routine operations.
