Over the past couple of days, I’ve been seeing issues with delayed price feeds and settlement, and it’s made me reflect a bit. I used to think something like oracles was pretty far from me. But recently, with cross-chain bridges getting hacked, and after abnormal quotes, everyone has started to “wait for confirmation” on consensus—only then did I realize that if the oracle price is just a little slow, your position might be gone…
Anyway, when I do on-chain interactions myself now, I’d rather wait an extra couple of minutes for confirmation than rush in. I’ll pay a bit more gas as a way to buy peace of mind. After all, being one step slower is better than getting kicked out.
