At 3 a.m., I just finished reading a Degen’s tweet. The image is a screenshot of some “security audit,” and underneath, there are still a bunch of people shouting “just mindlessly rush in.” I burst out laughing.

On-chain data tools are being hyped like gods right now—so what happened? Yesterday, a tag system was still marking an address as a “safe address,” but today it got exposed as a related address of a phishing website. You judge, take a closer look.

When it comes to wallet security, strip it down and it’s basically red lines. If you dare to screenshot and store your seed phrase in the cloud, that’s like putting your front door key into a public mailbox. For signature authorizations, don’t see an airdrop and click “Allow” without thinking—can you really die if you read the fine print? I’ve seen too many people, just to save a few cents in Gas fees, hand over all their wallet permissions to a phishing site posing under the banner of “Optimism.” Then, when it’s too late, LPs and NFTs are all gone. Oh well—at least it wasn’t my money.

Last thing: don’t believe any talk about “on-chain data updating in real time.” That’s all hindsight. When the phishing site is right in front of you, you rely on your brain, not the tool.
