Bro, lately “parallel” and “sharding” are getting hot again. In the group, some friends are throwing real money at projects, and I’ve just been watching the order books right along with them. To be honest, sure, the narrative is noisy, but my first instinct is still to find where these projects’ liquidity actually is and what the exit path looks like—lots of projects have loud talking points, but the order-book depth/size they can truly absorb is pretty heartbreaking. When someone tries to sell me a dream at a time like this, I’m always thinking first: “How do I run?”
Over the past couple of days, the stablecoin drama in the group has been going wild again. Rumors about reserve audits and depegging keep circulating, and once the emotions spike, people start shouting to buy the dip or fully exit. Personally, I feel that no matter how lively and crowded it looks, asset safety is something you always have to watch closely yourself. If the money you’ve locked up doesn’t have both liquidity and an exit route well designed, then when the hype fades, the most passive people will be the ones who rushed in at the front.
Plainly put, no matter how flashy the narrative is, in the end it all comes back to one question: can my money be taken out smoothly? That’s it for now—anyway, my “exit-liquidity” machine is still running. I’ll deal with it when that wave of enthusiasm comes.
