Sigh, I woke up again in the middle of the night. I kept scrolling through those big on-chain transfers, and that tense little string in my mind got tight again. Lately I’ve been thinking a lot about cross-chain stuff—every time you go through a bridge, who exactly are you supposed to trust? The IBC message passing looks pretty well-structured, but to put it plainly, from validators to relayers to the chains themselves, every layer can leave room for mistakes. The more I look, the more it feels like this whole trust chain—subtracting and adding trust here and there—is actually pretty fragile.

Then I landed on that whole social mining setup—fan tokens, attention mining. I was kind of stunned: can “attention” really be mined into anything tangible, like real coins? Or is it yet another false premise, just repackaged to cut another slice from people? Anyway, I don’t buy it at all. It feels even more far-fetched than cross-chain bridges.

The more I think about it, the more irritated I get. I even almost uninstalled those few wallets and monitoring apps—just to get some quiet. But then I thought better of it. With my fingers acting on impulse, I went back and kept staring blankly at those cold-toned charts. That’s it for now. On this sleepless night, it’s only this kind of petty nonsense that manages to keep me sharp.
