At midnight, I was checking the funds on-chain and saw that the LP I’d previously tossed into a certain L2 pool had an impermanent loss that, once tallied up, was more than the fees. It’s just pure charity. I used to think market making was basically “easy money”—but the moment that curve moves, the value gap between both sides can make you question life. As for chain games over there, you don’t even need to say it: inflation + studios + a spiral in the coin price. I saw someone in the group who’d just entered the market and already got trapped. It’s different from how you lose in market making, but it’s just as painful. Anyway, I don’t regret trying. At least now I know what a real “passive loss” is—more thrilling than active trading. That’s it for now. I’ll keep watching the liquidity pool.
