Just saw the NFT royalties controversy flare up again. One side says creators’ revenue shouldn’t be cut, while the other says secondary-market liquidity is almost gone. I can’t really say who’s right. In any case, these kinds of hot topics rotate again and again—I actually feel that if I don’t understand, I should just hold off.
Before, there was a project that was quite popular. They said they wanted to do something like “fair launch + royalty protection,” and everyone rushed in. I spent a long time looking at the trading structure, but I couldn’t figure out the logic behind the “claws” and backdoors in that set of contracts, so I just didn’t join. Then two weeks later, the team behind the project simply ran away, and a lot of people got rugged. Honestly, I was tempted too at the time, but then I thought, “Do I really understand it?” Not really—so forget it, have some tea.
This attention-economy thing, put simply, is whoever is in a hurry pays tuition first. If you don’t understand, pause for now. The market won’t shut down, but your brain will.
